No loose shredded paper is to be placed in the recycling bins. This type of material is to be placed in sealed plastic bags and discarded with standard garbage in the trash toter to prevent material being scattered over lawns.
Trash is picked up in the Isles on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Recycling is picked up on Saturdays. Trash/recycling is not picked up on Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day. It is picked up on all other holidays. If service falls on Christmas, it will be picked up on the next regular service day. THERE IS NO MAKE-UP COLLECTION DAY!
Recycling bins may be placed by the street on Friday evenings after 6:00 PM. Trash placed in the new SWA toters may also be placed by the street after 6:00 PM on Tuesday and Friday evenings. Do not put plastic bags out the night before or the day of pick up. All trash must be placed in the new trash toters. Trash toters and recycling bins must be returned to your garage (or otherwise out-of-sight) by 11:59 PM on the day of collection (i.e. Wednesday and Saturday).
