- Each unit owner must purchase their own homeowner’s insurance policy (HO-3, not a condo or renter’s policy). Your policy must cover your home the same as if you owned a single family house that was not in a development. The association does NOT have a master insurance policy that covers anything on your property.
- We are a Homeowners Association, listed as an adult 55+ community.
- Owners do not have to become members of the Aberdeen Country Club but may if they choose to.
- The Post Office no longer replaces mailbox locks. If an individual has a problem with a mailbox lock they must call a locksmith.
- In order for your alarm system to be monitored you must have a Local Land Line (or purchase extra equipment to use a cell phone).
- Before any change can be made to the exterior of the house or property it must be approved by the Architectural Review Committee.
Currently, please contact Marilyn Glasgow, at 757-818-4640.
The application form is available on this website under Documents, Aberdeen POA Architectural Application and Standards. All residents of the Isles are required to read our documents which can be found on our website. Our documents consist of the Articles of Incorporation, By-Laws, Declaration of Covenants, and various Amendments. These documents will describe what the homeowner is responsible for and what the association is responsible for.
- The only things sold by the Isles Board are entrance gate cards and additional/replacement RFID tags for your vehicle.
Both can be purchased from Isles President Paul Catalano at 561-963-8639. Pool keys and extra clubhouse key fobs must be purchased at the Aberdeen East Clubhouse. The Office Hours are Tu-Fri, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM phone number 561-734-0113.
- Rental Restrictions exist. Owners may only rent their unit one (1) time per year for a minimum of 6 months.
- All property owners are members of the Isles Homeowners Association and the Aberdeen Master Property Owners Association. The fee is part of your monthly Isles HOA fee.
- This fee includes the use of the East Clubhouse, pool, tennis and pickleball courts, Bocce Court (all located on the East side of Jog Road (Le Chalet & Parkwalk Rd) plus the pool at the Landings and the pool at the Isles.
- Beginning in January 2025 the monthly fee for living in the Isles FY is $520 with video only from Comcast and $590 for triple play provided by Comcast. This fee includes the charge for the repayment of the roof loan. This fee is subject to change every year based on recommendations from the Finance Committee and input from the Master Property Owners Association. Our year runs from Jan 1 to Dec 31 each year.
- Currently there are no county or HOA assessments other than the normal taxes due on each property.
- When replacing your outside coach lights, the new lights must be white and be between 14 and 20 inches tall.
